چکیده
The dynamic time warping (DTW) distance has been used as a misfit function for wave-equation inversion to mitigate the local minima issue. However, original DTW is not smooth; therefore it can yield strong discontinuity in adjoint source. Such weakness does help nonlinear inverse problems converge plausible minimum by any means. We introduce first geophysics smooth distance, which demonstrated its performance series classification, clustering, and prediction loss function. fundamental idea of such replace $\min$ operator with relaxation. Correlation Based Dynamic Time Warping
Dynamic Time Warping (DTW) is a widely used technique for univariate time series comparison. This paper proposes a new algorithm for the comparison of multivariate time series which generalize DTW for the needs of correlated multivariate time series.
متن کاملContour-Based Shape Retrieval Using Dynamic Time Warping
A dissimilarity measure for shapes described by their contour, the Cyclic Dynamic Time Warping (CDTW) dissimilarity, is introduced. The dissimilarity measure is based on Dynamic Time Warping of cyclic strings, i.e., strings with no definite starting/ending points. The Cyclic Edit Distance algorithm by Maes cannot be directly extended to compute the CDTW dissimilarity, as we show in the paper. W...
متن کاملDance Pattern Recognition Using Dynamic Time Warping
In this paper we describe a method to detect patterns in dance movements. Such patterns can be used in the context of interactive dance systems to allow dancers to influence computational systems with their body movements. For the detection of motion patterns, dynamic time warping is used to compute the distance between two given movements. A custom threshold clustering algorithm is used for su...
متن کاملAdaptive Feature Based Dynamic Time Warping
Dynamic time warping (DTW) has been widely used in various pattern recognition and time series data mining applications. However, as examples will illustrate, both the classic DTW and its later alternative, derivative DTW, may fail to align a pair of sequences on their common trends or patterns. Furthermore, the learning capability of any supervised learning algorithm based on classic/derivativ...
متن کاملInformation Retrieval-based Dynamic Time Warping
In this paper we introduce a novel dynamic programming algorithm called Information Retrieval-based Dynamic Time Warping (IR-DTW) used to find non-linearly matching subsequences between two time series where matching start and end points are not known a priori. In this paper our algorithm is applied for audio matching within the query by example (QbE) spoken term detection (STD) task, although ...
